How does ResortCompete.com work?
 
ResortCompete allows consumers and groups to research and select all-inclusive resorts and request quotes for these specific destinations. Your agency can then view and respond to these requests right through the system, where consumers can compare your offers with those from other providers. Your quotes will include your telephone and email information and consumers can then contact you directly to ask questions or to book. You simply report each booking you make as a result of a ResortCompete quote in the system itself. For all travel that concludes in a given month, we will charge you a revenue share based on the value of that booking on the 15th of the month following. 
 
Why should my company join this service?

How will joining ResortCompete affect my existing customers?
 
Joining ResortCompete need have no effect on the deals you offer to your existing customers. Quotes are not public: they’re one-to-one offers between you and the individual requesting pricing.
 
According to our research, most vacation buyers already get quotes from multiple sources before booking. While ResortCompete makes shopping around easier, the overall dynamic isn't changed. As you're already competing for business and winning, your current structure may be just fine for success through the system. This is especially true if you respond to requests quickly and add comments useful to the customer.
 
With the savings you get in staff time, cash flow, and advertising costs through ResortCompete, your margins may improve even though you have to compete for the business. Even if you choose to offer special packages to ResortCompete customers, that doesn't mean you have to change how you work with your regular customers.
 
Customers you quote through ResortCompete are instructed that they must contact the seller directly who submitted the quote directly and mention their specific ResortCompete Quote Request ID number to get the deal offered through the system. This makes it easy to differentiate the lead source, and allows you to vary what you offer to maximize revenue without compromising existing margins.

What does the service cost?
 
The only fees you pay to ResortCompete are based on what you actually book.  
 
Even then, as the fees aren't due until the fifteenth of the month after travel is completed, so you keep more cash in your pocket longer (especially vs. an advertising model, where you pay for the advertising today to generate commission months from now).
 
Your up-to-the-minute account status data is be available online. This will let you view and change the bookings you've entered, and see the amount pending for each future month. All fees will be billed on the fifteenth of the month by credit card.
 
How do I respond to quote requests?
 
ResortCompete allows you to set filters to display only the types of requests you’re interested in responding to. To respond to a specific request, you simply enter pricing information for the particular trip requested. You may also add own comments, suggestions, recommendations and any special benefits you’re offering. (You can also set default comments and offers to speed up this process). Then you click on "submit".
 
How do consumers contact me if they’re interested in booking?
 
Once you submit your quote, consumers will immediately be sent an e-mail telling them that a new quote is available. One click takes them back to their account to view the latest quotes. It is then up to the client to decide which seller or sellers to contact. You can specify whether you wish to be contacted via phone or e-mail or both. It is up the individual consumer to contact you directly.
